Thailand Red Shirt Protest : Abhisit Government Doing Everything Wrong

Perhaps the saying "might is right" is never so accurate, especially with the way Abhisit handles the Red Shirt protest.

One must remember how Abhisit came into power, with a series of Yellow Shirt protest, undemocratically deposing Thaksin.

Don't get me wrong, i am no admirer or sympathizer of Thaksin. I don't agree with some of his way of dealings either.

But this Abhisit is bordering on tyranny, perhaps crossing the line of modern human rights governance.

He came to power through very much the same way the Red Shirts were doing, and of course, some elitist way of prosecution and court processes, which gives the uninformed the impression of serious partiality.

Not to mention the army is backing him.

Nevermind that. When the Red Shirts demand his government to conduct a new election, he responded with armored vehicles and M16s. And killing and injuring many Thais who only wanting their rights to be enforced.

Oh, don't give me shits about how the Red Shirts are crippling Thailand. All Abhisit gotta do is to conduct a fresh election, and these people will go home. But no, bullets and sheer (armed) force is Abhisit's answer

And so, many were killed, and the leaders of Red Shirts surrendered, perhaps they knew they can't fight, perhaps in hope that no more of their comrades were killed. And went home, the protesters did. Despite that, government gave all the predictable answers in new election - we are not going to have it until it all stabilized.

Which i take it as meaning - we are not going to have it until we are sure of winning it.

What do that leaves the Thais? We have angry rural folks with their deep dissatisfaction.

Actually, things can be very easy - just conduct a fresh election.

But Abhisit knew he would never win the election. In fact, i think everyone knew of it.

So bullets might be the answer.

The problem is, Abhisit may not be the only person to have the control of bullets in the future.

It takes only one charismatic leader with some brains to boot, and we will have a bloody civil war in Thailand.

Who will take responsibility for it, Mr. Prime Minister Abhisit? If their is any war, and anyone killed, you, Mr. Abhisit, would be the main culprit.

Stop the war before it happens. Conduct a fresh, fair election. Get United Nation to conduct it to give some credibilities and legitimacies to it.

The future of Thailand lies in your hand, Abhisit.
